They may be purchased individually or separately.

 

Both 1973 140 series Volvo’s do not run.  Both have been shrink wrapped (like a boat) on an island in Narraganset Bay, Rhode Island for the last ten years.  The 144 Volvo Sedan has an automatic transmission.  The 145 Volvo Wagon has a standard transmission.

 

These 1973 Volvos are both great candidates for restoration.  They are being sold “as is” or “1973 Volvo parts only” with no warranty of any sort.  They would be exceptional 1973 Volvo parts cars.  Although not running, neither car has had parts removed from them, they are essentially complete vehicles.

 

The 1973 144 Sedan is a one owner car.  I bought the 144 Volvo sedan new in 1973.  For what it is worth, both 1973 Volvos are dark Forest green with tan interiors.  Therefore all the 1973 Volvo parts from these cars will bear these colors.  The 1973 Volvo 144 sedan has a cloth interior.  The 1973 Volvo 145 wagon has a vinyl interior.

 

The glass in both the 144 and 145 was vandalized prior to shrinkwrap.  However, no parts have been taken from either of the 1973 volvos. 

 

As stated, the 1973 Volvo 144 sedan has had only one owner.  The minimum offer accepted must exceed the cost of transport from the island.  This is usually about $400 per vehicle.  Pickup will be in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.  Note pickup is only available from May until October.

 

NOTE:  Buyer must sign “purchase for parts only” waiver.
